Hyundai is planning to expand its Indian market by launching many new cars in these upcoming months. Here is the brief description about the upcoming Hyundai cars in India in the year 2017, 2018.
All-New Hyundai Santro:
New upcoming Hyundai Santro is expected to arrive in the late of 2017, Hyundai Santro is the Indian entry back hatchback which dominated Indian roads for more than a decade. This car was discontinued in year 2015 and now is ready for its comeback. This car will be a tough competition for the Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Wagon R and Maruti K10 and can also be a replacement of i10 segment. It can be powered by 1.0 Litre petrol engine and will have five speed manual transmission system. Also, automated transmission system is expected.
New Hyundai Verna:
Verna, who failed to deliver high performance last year, is coming back with lots of changes and up gradations. Hyundai is working on its looks, engines, interior and other features like Android Auto, new mild hybrid technology, leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay infotainment system, projector lamps etc. It is making Hyundai Verna more stylish and comfortable. Expected to arrive in the middle of the 2017, this car can cost in the range of Rs 8Lakhs to Rs 14Lakh. This car will be available in two versions: 1.4L version that will be powered by 1396 cc petrol VTVT engine that can chunk power of 107Ps and torque of 136Nm and another version is of 1.6L, whose petrol variant will get its energy from 1591 cc petrol VTVT engine(155Nm torque and 128PS power) and diesel variant will get power from 1582 cc CRDI VGT diesel engine(260Nm torque, 128Ps power). Transmission system with have both versions: 6 Speed manual and 6 Speed automatic.
Hyundai Compact MPV:
Hyundai Compact is expected to arrive in mid 2017, Hyundai Compact MPV will be a small MPV car. Not much is known about this model yet but it is likely to compete with Maruti Ertiga and Honda Mobilio. Also, it may get its engine from the current Hyundai Verna and can cost around Rs 6.6Lakhs.
Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift:
Elite i20 is praised a lot and is one of the most purchased products of Hyundai in Indian market. Elite i20 has raised the standards in the premium hatchback segments with its performance, superior interior fit and elegant styling. Wishing to repeat the success story of Elite i20, Next Hyundai upcoming cars in india is planning to come up with Elite i20 Facelift in the May 2017. So to stand in the entry-level hatchback segment in India, Hyundai is planning to come up Upcoming Hyundai cars in India 2017 with Eon Facelift. Expected to arrive in October 2017, this car can cost around INR 3.25-4.00 Lakhs. It will be powered by the same 1.0-litre Petrol only and will get the five-speed manual transmission. This model may come up with better fuel efficiency and will be competing with Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi Go in Indian market.
Hyundai Creta Facelift:
One of the best compact SUV cars in the Indian market, Hyundai Creta was well appreciated and liked. To repeat this success story, Hyundai is planning to come up with Hyundai Creta Facelift, with updated and refreshing features and with more comfort features. More of the cosmetic updates will be there in the new Hyundai Creta Facelift 2017 and it will get the new dual-tone paint options and Hyundai’s new signature grille design. Its interior will have advanced infotainment system and in the top variants more security features like vehicle stability control and curtain airbags are expected. Standard vehicles will have ABS with EBD and dual airbags will be available as a safety feature. Expected to arrive soon, this car may cost in the range of INR 9.50-15Lakhs. Coming to its engine specifications, this car will be available in three engine options and they are: 1.6-litre Petrol, 1.4-litre Diesel, 1.6-litre Diesel. 1.6-litre 4-cylinder VTVT petrol engine is good for delivering 123Ps power and 150Nm torque while the 1.4-litre CRDi diesel engine can chunk up to 90Ps power and 220Nm torque. Last one diesel engine is capable of providing 128Ps of power and 260Nm of torque. Expected transmission systems are 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission systems. This car will be a tough competition for new Honda WR-V and Renault Duster.
Hyundai Carlino will be the fourth SUV car from Hyundai after Tucson, Santa FE, and Creta In India, SUV cars are more in demand and seeing this demand only, Hyundai is planning to launch next upcoming Hyundai cars as another SUV in the December 2017. Hyundai Carlino will be compact SUV that will compete directly with Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport in Indian market. Coming to the engine specifications of this SUV, than the petrol version of this car will be powered by 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine that can deliver the power of 118bhp and torque of 171Nm and its diesel version will be supported by 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine that can deliver the power of 89bhp and torque of 220Nm. Talking about the fuel efficiency of this car, then the petrol version of Hyundai Carlino is expected to provide the mileage of 18kmpl and its diesel version can run 24kmpl. Available transmissions are: 5-speed manual & 4-speed automatic. Expected cost price of this car: INR 6.30-8.90Lakhs.
Korean manufacturer, Hyundai, may come up with new Hybrid model soon again Toyata’s Prius. Expected to be revealed at the Auto Expo 2018, this car will get a complete new platform and will be available in three highly efficient power trains named as: fully electric, plug-in hybrid and regular hybrid. It will be powered by 1.6-litre, four-cylinder, Kappa GDi engine that is capable of producing 44 PS of power and torque of 170Nm.This model will have the direct injection petrol motor, that will improve its thermal efficiency by 40 percent. Also, IC motor in this car will chunk around 44PS of power and 170NM torque. Apart from highly efficient power trains, this car will also have a different body material. More than 50 percent of this car will be made from lightweight aluminium and Advanced High Strength Steel chassis which will provide protection against crash and will give more elasticity. It can cost around 20lakhs and till now, Hyundai has released its rear side images only.
Hyundai’s this new car will be a compact SUV that will be based on the i20 platform. Recently launched in European car market, this car can arrive in India soon. Some of the exterior features of Hyundai Kona are: 200mm ground clearance, rugged looks, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED tail clamps, Daytime running LED’s roof rails etc. Its interior features include rear AC vents, 7-inch touchscreen system, reverse camera, 1GB space for music etc. It will have all four disc brakes, six airbags, Immobiliser, ABS with EBD as safety features in it. This compact SUV will be available in three engine options. They are: 1.4-litre petrol that can provide 90bhp power and 145Nm torque, 1.0-litre turbo petrol capable of giving 110bhp of power and 160NM of torque and 1.4-litre diesel that can chunk 90bhp power and 230NM torque. Available transmission systems will be : Six-speed manual/ automatic gearboxes. This car can range somewhere in between 8 lakh to 12 lakh and will compete against Honda WR-V, Ford Ecosport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, etc.
Next New upcoming Hyundai cars in india in 2018 is expected to arrive in March mont of 2018, this car can cost around Rs 20.77lakhs. This car will be powered by 2.0-litre “Nu” GDI 4-cylinder engine coupled with the 38 kW electric motor this car can chunk the power of 202bhp. Estimate mileage from this car is 12.35kmpl. Design of this car will be inspired from Genesis and world class features are expected in this model of Hyundai.
