Finally India’s favorite carmaker “Maruti Suzuki” has launch its premium hatchback “Maruti Suzuki Baleno” on October 26,2015. This car is available in nine different versions with 2 engine and 2 transmission and 2 fuel options in the showrooms of NEXA.  The introductory price of Maruti Suzuki baleno is Rs 4.99lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Within 4 days of its launch, more than 5000 bookings were registered and the manufacturers( Maruti) also claims that on the Baleno launch, 1500 visitors came, out of which, 600 ended up booking a car. So here comes the brief reviews about the car.

Starting with the looks, then the car is a spacious hatchback. It is contemporary and sensible, but not stylish and cute. It has relevant equipments but not ravishing one. Although its higher trim variants look better with its 16″ alloy wheels (lower trims have 15″ rims), better designed projector headlamps etc. Its exterior is based on Suzuki’s new liquid flow design. Front part is of V-shaped grille. Its cabin is big- all thanks to its smartly designed and layout. Its looks refreshing and is well equipped by facilities like touch-screen music system with navigation, engine start-stop button, rear parking camera, climate control etc.  Front airbags and ABS-EBD are some standard features in Maruti Suzuki baleno which make it safer and comfortable.

It is 3995 mm long, 3995 mm wide, 1500 mm tall. It provides 170 mm clearance of ground and its wheelbase is 2520 mm.

Coming to maruti baleno baleno specifications, then its power variants will be powered by 1.2-litre K-Series VVT engine that can produce power of 83bhp and torque of 115Nm. Both the options five-speed manual or the CVT automatic transmission are available with petrol variant and 21.4kmpl is the rated fuel efficiency of this variant. Its diesel variant gets the same 1.3-litre multijet from the Swift  which is capable of developing power of 75bhp and torque of 190Nm. Claimed efficiency of this variant is 27.39kmpl and it will use five-speed manual gearbox for transmission.

Talking about the competitors then Maruti Suzuki baleno competes with Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo.
