New Honda Accord Launching in India Soon

The much awaited D-segment sedan New Honda Accord may arrive in the early months of 2016. Its arrival is expected in the coming few months. Indication of this arrival can be clearly seen in the statement of Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior VP, Marketing & Sales, and Honda Cars. He stated “We have the full intention of getting the Accordback in our portfolio, expect the current version sold overseas to come to India next fiscal.”

Launch Dates and prices of Honda Accord

Although no official dates and prices are announced, but estimated cost of this model is 25Lakhs, a little more than the previous models of Accord. As mentioned before about its arrival, it can arrive in the earlier months of 2016, or to be more precise Jan 2016–Feb 2016.

Features and specialities of Honda Accord

In an interview, American Honda Motor Co.’s Automobiles executive vice president of Division, John Mendel, gave the statement that ““Customers want their vehicles to be more intelligently integrated with their smartphone-powered lives, and we are committed to delivering that experience.” This statement of his is clearly specifying the features oF new Honda Accord. This car will get LED fog lights, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps etc. Its special features consist of an integrated new 7-inch touchscreen in the car’s dashboard and Apple Car Play. Its safety features include lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, collision braking, adaptive cruise control and many more.

This new Honda Accord 2016 model will be longer than other models. Its bumper frontend along with rear bumper is new and has sportier neatly combined grille. Its interiors are quite fancy and it contains every possible equipment needed in the car. But this all makes it look untidy that is messy.

Engine specifications of Honda Accord

Japanese carmakers are providing 2 powering options: one is the petrol one and other will be based on Camry Hybrid technology. Its petrol variant will be powered by 2.4-liter four-cylinder direct injected petrol engine that can deliver power upto 185 hp and CVT/six-speed manual gearbox will be providing transmission to it. Coming to its hybrid engine, then CVT/six-speed manual gearbox mated with 124 kW electric motor will be fuelling this variant. This variant will get E-CVT gearbox transmission system.

Competition of Honda Accord   

Honda will be facing biggest competition from new gen Skoda Superb. Other cars that can steal its attention are Toyota Camry, A3 sedan and CLA-Class.
